Laguna de San Pablo, Imbabura, Ecuador | February 2015
<<All the lands of this area were a ranch which belonged to a very bad owner. He was so rich that he had many servants. One day a hungry witch asked him food, but he preferred to give bones to dogs than to feed her. So she warned the servants that a huge flood would come on that land and that they had to run away on the mountain. The flood came and a large lake covered the ranch, including the owner and all the gold, which still can be found at the bottom of the lake and nobody can touch it>>. This is how we came to know about the formation of San Pablo lake from the children of La Compañía.
