A trip for photography enthusiasts looking to explore the natural beauties of the Gorongosa National Park, in the heart of Mozambique. A place with a difficult and sad history, but which in recent years, thanks to beneficial campaigns for the reintroduction of animals that once disappeared and good policies for the preservation of the natural environment, is becoming once again the paradise on Earth that it used to be. A national park outside the route of international mass tourism, but in no way inferior to Africa's most renowned locations. We will spend several days within the park looking for animals to photograph, immersed in a unique and enchanting landscape.
Gorongosa National Park is a nature reserve located in the Great Rift Valley of central Mozambique, with forests and savannahs home to a myriad of animals, including lions, hippos, and elephants. Seasonal floodings feed Lake Urema, the adjacent swamps, and the surrounding rivers, which attract many species of waterfowl. The park consists of a plethora of soil types, which create distinct ecosystems. From Mount Gorongosa to the Cheringoma Plateau, we will meet waterfalls, forests, grasslands, limestone gorges, caves and much more...
Beira is one of the largest cities in Mozambique, and the capital of Sofala Province. The city is located on the coast of the Indian Ocean, near the mouth of Pungwe River, in the central area of the country. The port of Beira is of paramount importance for the interior area of Mozambique, and even more so for Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe, all of which have no access to the sea. Founded in 1887, the city preserves several colonial buildings, is home to the largest urban park in southern Africa and features a long beach from which you can experience both sunrise and sunset.
