A journey for lovers of nature photography, who want to start this animals research adventure and to take photos of the species, included the brown bear and the ural owl in a coniferous beech trees forest in the Notranjska Park in Southern Slovenia. We will use a photographic hut to admire and take pictures of many bears living in this environment.
We will walk through the woods hoping to meet the Ural Owl and other wild animals, such as deer, hare, wolf, etc.
We will admire so many blooms that abound in this period, from wild peony to wild orchids.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN PLACES THAT WE WILL VISIT?
• The Notranjska Park
All the places we visit are in the Notranjska Regional Park. It is a region characterized by intermittent lakes, caves, natural bridges, forests and a high number of animal and plant species, even endemic to the area.
• Cerknica lake and the Shrimps River Valley
The action of water on calcareous and dolomitic substrates has given rise to impressive karst phenomena. An example is the intermittent Cerknica lake. A plain that, in the event of heavy rainfall, in just three days can turn into the largest Slovenian lake and that during periods of summer drought can dry up almost completely in three weeks. Its waters flow underground and resurface in Rakov Škocjan (the Shrimps River Valley).
• The forest of Monte Nevoso
We will enter the forest that surrounds the Monte Nevoso, It is a huge plateau covered by a forest of beech and fir trees, alternating with prairies and pine forests in the areas of higher altitude. It is the ideal habitat for brown bears, wolves, deer, wild boar, wild cats, lynxes and hares, as well as numerous species of birds such as the Ural owl and l 'Golden Eagle.
